Joseph Allen Malakowsky (right)

Joseph Malakowsky is a young resident of Detroit Lakes, Minnesota. He is a Trainer and Sanitation technician at a Pet Food plant where he met Rodney. He comes from a family of hunters and farmers and, as such, has a passion for Conservation. His ancestors left a Waterfowl Production area to aid the conservation effort, and he hopes to follow in their footsteps.

Joseph is very adept at quickly understanding new concepts and entrepreneurial business. A kind way to say he is brilliant.

Joseph will lead the technology side of understanding what LongView needs. https://goo.gl/maps/DvAR5ZGtw1G42gcg7

We Are Committed to Mitigating Deforestation and Climate Change

At LongView Carbon Farms, we believe in the power of nature to heal the planet. By preserving and creating nature-specific corridors, we provide important habitats for wildlife, waterfowl, and butterflies. Our work not only helps protect these species, but also plays a vital role in mitigating deforestation and combatting climate change.

We are more than just a nonprofit – we are a movement. Together, we can make a difference and create a sustainable future for generations to come. Join us in our mission to restore and conserve our precious natural resources.

No matter how big or small, every action counts. By supporting LongView Carbon Farms, you are contributing to the preservation of our environment and the protection of our planet.

Meet the Founders

Rodney Arlo Osvold (left)

Rodney A Osvold is retiring to dedicate his Golden Years to LongView. Rodney grew up on a farm near Brainerd, Minnesota. Before the age of 16, he contracted with the local railroad to supply 200 oak railroad ties. This required a little logging and sawmill work on his part, starting his love for old-growth trees. He has family today in the logging business.

After spending a lifetime in the food business, manufacturing, and being an Entrepreneur, it is time to launch LongView. Rodney founded the National Fish Decoy Association and “The Gathering, World’s Largest Fish Decoy Show” each April in Perham, Minnesota.
